Fender Japan Mini Precision Bass MPB33 Sunburst 1993/4

Fender Japan Mini-P, sunburst, 1993/4. Aw… isn’t it cute! This is very small in size; around half the weight of a regular P and a nice short 22″ scale. It’s still built like a proper bass though, so you get a really nice satin finish maple neck and the same pickup, bridge and tuners and electronics as the full size ’62 reissue Precision Bass model. It’s not a toy, it’s a proper instrument and is built from that mindset. Tone-wise, it sounds pretty similar to a standard Precision with heaps of midrange growl and low end thump, although the sustain is shorter and the tone a little darker. It’s addictive and fun to play, perfect for the couch at home or for gigs where you’re pressed for room or want to crack out a bass for a couple of songs to mix things up. These are pretty scarce and a really cute addition to the fam, so if you’re after a bass that’s “for my kid” that you won’t be able to put down yourself, here’s your new little cutie. Aw!

Cosmetic condition notes: mild finish wear. There’s a couple of very light marks on the end of the headstock. Neck is pretty clean. The back has some widespread scuffing and rub wear but no major marks. The sides have some light discolouration on the black and some very light marks on the shoulder area and near the rear strap pin. The front is pretty clean, just some rub wear/clouding from play and some light scratches on the guard. Overall: very good condition (8/10)

Playing conditionnotes:Action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good, truss rod works. All electrics tested and working properly. Frets lookpretty good with somevery mild wear; 8.5/10 for life left. Set up with fresh 45/105s.
