The Wittner Finetune pegs for Violin have made a huge impact on teaching as teachers can now spend considerably less time tuning and more time teaching. They offer precise, geared tuning which is effortless and quick and wont slip.
The pegs are made of a hi-tech composite material but look and are fitted just like a traditional violin peg. The peg does not move in the peg box so wear is massively reduced whilst the tuning is made incredibly easy with precision gearing within the peg. The pegs, being composite, are naturally not susceptible to climate change.
